HOLISTIC HEALTH APPROACH
HOLISTIC HEALTH APPROACH
ROSS'S PHLOSOPHIY
Each day I rock up to work I do what I believe my life purpose is - to help others find great health, optimise their physical abilities and live a happy and meaningful life. So as I developed Rossfit over the last decade my business has become an extension of me. Everything that I teach I am implementing or working hard to implement myself. I believe in being the example of health and standing by my word.
I live and breathe exercise and food. I love talking about nourishing food, sharing recipes and educating others about integrated health and movement. It all started at my primary school fete when I watched a martial arts demonstration for the first time. Something about primal movement, self-defence and skill called out to me. At the age of 10, I started practicing healthy living, as I learnt about the power of aligning my body and mind to achieve optimal strength, speed, power and endurance.
In fact, throughout the seven years serving the Australian Army as an infantry soldier and as a special forces intelligence specialist deployed to East Timor and Afghanistan, the connection between movement, nutrition and mental
performance became even more apparent; at a time where I sustained many injuries and where my physical and mental strength was tested.
Today, my life focus is on educating others on the joy and benefits of holistic health and movement; inspiring and challenging them to reach their goals; building resilience and not giving up.
I work in both one-on-one and semi-private sessions, helping my clients improve their health and mobility through corrective exercise; strength and conditioning; holistic nutrition; and sport specific performance. I also present to groups on the topics of movement, holistic health and mindset.

THE PILLARS OF HEALTH
Your journey to optimal health, vitality and physical performance begins in the kitchen. The food you eat and the water your drink become your cells, your bones, connective tissue, muscles and organs....and beyond that, the strength of your will power, your resolve and the quality of the decisions you make are fuelled by your cells. This is why your health journey begins with the food on your plate. I take a holistic viewpoint to nutrition, drawing on a combination of the latest research, ancestral wisdom and biochemical individuality, to develop bespoke dietary guidance for my clients.
To perform at your best in life - be it on the sporting field, in a boardroom or classroom - time and attention must be given to building potential. How does that look exactly? You are building potential when you're having sufficient QUALITY sleep. And for the other 2/3rds of your life, when you're not in bed, you build potential through restorative practices such as meditation, qigong, walks, dance and play. And the big one - you ensure you have the ability to perform when it matters by not over revving your engine. With my clients we discuss and implement strategies to optimise rest and recovery to top up your energy stores.
"You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems"
